I’ve written a piece for the Woodbrooke Learning Blog on how religion at its best teaches us to live adventurously in a dangerous world. You can find it here. The Woodbrooke blog unfortunately has no comments facility, so feel free to comment on it here. Enjoy!
In dangerous times, adventurous is the only thing one can realistically be. I find the message of Jesus and the examples in Acts terrifying but also extremely liberating. I’ve also observed that harsh political times bring out the best in Quakers. Part of me thinks I should be careful what I wish for, the other part thinks hey…
I really like the contrast between the shallows of “it’ll be all right” and the depths of Dame Julian. Well said.
