Speaker

I’m an experienced and engaging speaker on Quaker and Christian theological topics.

My speaking engagements in the recent past include:

  • Regularly presenting “Pause for Thought” on BBC Radio 2 in 2024 and 2025.
  • Presenting the BBC Radio 4 Daily Service on 22 April, 1 November and 7 December 2022.
  • Being a guest speaker at the Bible and Practical Theology Symposium, December 2022, organised by the British and Irish Association for Practical Theology.
  • Leading the Firth Lectures Graduate Seminar at the University of Nottingham, April 2023.
  • Appearing on the The God Cast with Fr Alex Frost on 25 June 2024

If you’d like me to be a speaker at your event, please get in touch.

Teaching on Quaker topics is how I earn my living, and so I charge a fee for all my speaking engagements. The amount I charge is dependent on the nature of the work and the circumstances of the group I’m working with. As a general rule, for a half-day in-person workshop with a Quaker group I would charge £250 plus travel expenses.
